Church of Sinatra

       Wow! What a swell weekend! Sunday evening Ben & I attended Church of Sinatra! The COS was created in the 90's in San Francisco and serves 

as a get together/cocktail party for the swing elite!

What church would be complete without a 

proclamation proselytizing the prohibitions (and 

prescriptions) for its congregation....

1.   Thou shalt have no Chairmans before me

2.   Thou shall be jazzy, snazzy, and razmatazzy

3.   Thou shall not use the word 'Dago' in vain

4.   Remember the Sands and keep it holy

5.   Honor thy Jack Daniel's

6.   Thou shalt not render an evening endsville

7.   Thou shalt not forsake the cocktail hour

8.   Thou shalt not steal another Crooner's shtick and use it

9.   Thou shalt not rat on a Rat

10.  Thou shalt not covet another man's Martini

11.  Thou shall live by my motto: 'You only live once & the way I live, once is enough'

We enjoyed a sensational evening of cocktails, Frank & a new book of the ABC's of speakeasy. Above Russell & Chris giggle at the definitions of some amazing colloquialisms!

 I am thoroughly enjoying blood & sands!! My new fav cocktail by far!!

• 3/4 ounce Scotch
• 3/4 ounce Cherry Heering
• 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
• 3/4 ounce fresh orange juice
• Flamed orange zest for garnish

Julie has an amazing wood floor so of course a bit of dancing ensued! 

I also tried a coffee cocktail! Dominic's' fav. 

But funny enough does not have coffee in it yet sports a raw egg! 

Fantastic flavor & delicious!!
